Jesus taught us ‘who our neighbor’ is. He also taught us who to treat the ‘least’ of these. We at Spirit One want to be a vessel of light and truth to the mothers and children who are scheduled to be aborted. This is what being ‘salt’ is. Showing in a tangible way that we care and that we will help them in numerous ways; material assistance, health care, adoption…and much more.

Praise Report - On several occasions, while the saints of Spirit One Christian Center were on site at the clinic we have had as many as FIVE (5) babies rescued in one day- mothers who were scheduled to have their babies lives terminated but changed their mind!! Praise to the Lord!

Q - What exactly do we do when we are at the abortion clinic?
A - Simply put we take the same things that we do inside the church -
outside. We use the weapons of our warfare that are not carnal.
Specifically we do five things: We call them the five P’s for life.

1. Pray - While on site we pray and intercede for the innocent baby boys and girls, we pray for the mothers,
the fathers, the clinic workers, the abortionist, the
police…
2. Praise - Praise & Worship of the Lord. To bring the
Spirit of the Lord on the seen so that the saints of the
Lord are anointed  to be the Lord’s witness.
3. Protect - These are our sidewalk counselors, who with
great love and compassion for the unborn child and for
the mother lovingly offer information, tracts, etc.
4. Preach - While on site the ‘Joshua’s’ men preach and
proclaim the Word of the Lord which is powerful.
5. Proclaim - These are the faithful who hold signs to offer
visual/natural view of the situation in which the patients are
about to enter that they may be able to make a more
informed decision to save their baby. The signs are
provided for you or  you can bring your own.

Q- Is it safe? Is it violent in any way?
A - Many have the liberal media’s idea of what it would be like which
is nothing compared to reality.  It is safe for adults and youth alike.
We even participate in Operation Save America - Wichita’s
“Jesus Loves The Little Children’s Day,’
which is the Second Wednesday afternoon of each month at 5101 E. Kellogg. This is where we let the young children come to the clinic to let these little ‘arrows of the Lord,’ be a witness and testimony. Many mothers have changed their mind because of the children’s presence and this event has gone without problem or incident. So, it is
even safe for children. We do nothing violent or harmful to
anyone. Our motive and desire is to offer a true ‘choice’ to those
going into the clinic. A ‘City set on a hill,’ so that they may see the
inalienable truth of life,  instead of death. It is our theology
becoming biography.

Q - Do you have a class that can teach me about pro-life issues.
A - Yes! We offer a Pro-life Apologetics class called, ‘Making
Abortion Unthinkable.’ This class will teach you how to confidently
handle the  abortion rhetoric and challenges. It is a complete
interactive, group  study experience. Everything you need to
thoroughly understand and  defend the pro-life position. You will
learn how to…
1. Restore meaning to the word “abortion” by properly using
visual aids.
2. Simplify the abortion issue by focusing on the one question
that clarifies the debate.
3. Use scientific evidence to offer a sound reasonable,
persuasive argument.
4. Expose the four common flaws of pro-abortion rhetoric. This
will answer questions, such as:
A). I am personally opposed to abortion, but I don’t want to
force my views on anyone.
B). No one knows when life begins.
C). If you don’t like abortion, don’t have one.
D). Without safe, legal abortion women will die.
E). Women have a right to their own body.
F). What about all the unwanted children and increased child
abuse it  would cause.
G). It’s a women’s issue not a man’s.
